Yes — completely free, no account required. You answer 13 quick questions and get a fit score with ranked destination recommendations in under 3 minutes. You only pay if you want a full personalised migration plan.
Your plan includes: the best-fit country and visa route for your profile, a ranked list of alternatives with reasons, a month-by-month migration timeline, a real cost breakdown (savings needed, living costs, application fees), an action checklist, and an audio summary. You also get full dashboard access — the Planning Tools suite (Salary Truth, Salary Decoder, Visa Timeline, Study Abroad Finder), the Career Hub (interview prep guides for 10+ countries, an AI Career Coach, and the Employer Radar database of visa-sponsoring companies), and the Partner Network of vetted service providers.
The plan is generated from your specific answers — profession, years of experience, education level, family setup, savings, timeline, and more. It references live job market data, current visa processing timelines, and real cost-of-living numbers per city. It is not a generic template; every plan is unique to the profile submitted.
Yes. The form asks "who are you planning for?" — you can complete it on behalf of a spouse, child, or any family member. If you want a second full plan, the Carry Them Along is available at a reduced rate and appears in your dashboard alongside the first.
Destination countries currently include: Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Australia, USA, Netherlands, Portugal, UAE, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Ukraine, and St Kitts & Nevis. We support origin profiles from 30+ African countries. More destinations are added regularly.
Yes. Each plan purchase is separate and tied to the profile submitted. Carry Them Along lets you add a second person (spouse, sibling, or any family member) at a reduced rate — both plans appear side by side in your dashboard so you can compare routes. If your own situation changes later, you can run a fresh plan at any time and your previous plans remain saved.
I Just Landed is the Premium Kit — designed for after your visa is approved, not during the planning phase. It includes: a country-specific Settling-In Guide (banks, healthcare registration, SIM, housing — your first weeks mapped out step by step), a local Tax Guide for your destination country, a Landing Kit (from airport pickup to first apartment), a 90-Day Action Tracker with tasks organised into three phases, the Partner Network of vetted service providers for your destination, and 4 Clarity Calls. Everything lives inside your dashboard — nothing to download.
The Career Hub is a dedicated interview preparation section inside your Japa Reality dashboard, available to all plan holders. It includes: country-specific interview guides for UK, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Portugal, France, Spain, and more (format, cultural tone, dos and don'ts for each); a STAR method coaching module with worked examples; an AI Career Coach you can have a live text conversation with on any job search question — structuring your story, handling bias, adapting answers for a specific country, salary negotiation; and the Employer Radar — a searchable database of companies known to sponsor visas for international candidates in your target country.
My Next Hop (getnexthop.com) is a sister platform purpose-built for network engineers, cloud architects, infrastructure professionals, and telecoms specialists. While Japa Reality answers the "which country and visa route" question, My Next Hop answers "can I pass the technical interview once I get there?" It offers AI-powered voice mock interviews, BGP and AWS lab simulations, and rubric-scored speech coaching — all calibrated to the technical interview formats used by UK, Canadian, Irish, German, and Australian employers. You can launch My Next Hop directly from the Career Hub inside your Japa Reality dashboard, or try it independently at getnexthop.com. It is currently live and free to try.
Yes — two, in different contexts. The AI Career Coach lives inside the Career Hub in your dashboard (after any plan purchase). You can ask it anything: interview strategy, structuring STAR answers for a specific country, how to handle questions about why you're leaving Nigeria, salary negotiation, LinkedIn optimisation — it's aware of the realities African professionals face in international job markets. On the main Japa Reality website, there is also a chat assistant (the icon at the bottom-right corner) that answers questions about emigration routes, countries, and how the platform works — even before you have an account.
During the Readiness Check and the full plan form, you can explicitly exclude any countries you don't want to consider. The AI will leave them out entirely — even if they'd be a strong match on paper. Your preferences always override the algorithm.
Yes. Each plan is a separate one-time purchase. If your situation changes significantly — new job, more savings, a course completed — you can run a fresh plan from your dashboard at any time. Your previous plans remain saved so you can compare how things have shifted.
Agents are paid to process applications for specific routes — they're incentivised to push you toward what they can help with, not necessarily what's best for your profile. Japa Reality has no such conflict: we're paid per plan, not per visa outcome. Our role is to help you figure out which country and route makes sense before you commit to any process or agent.
Those resources can be genuinely useful — but they're all filtered by survivorship bias and personal experience. The person who moved to Canada and loves it makes content about Canada. The algorithm shows what's popular, not what fits your profile. Japa Reality has no opinion on which country is best for you — it evaluates your specific profile against live visa policy data and real job market figures, then ranks what actually works for your situation.
